UW-Oshkosh Retirement SID Kennan Timm Shares Thoughts on 37 Years of Career

OSHKOSH – The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will be in uncharted waters on Friday. For the first time in 37 years, the school will need a director of sports information.

That’s because Kennan Timm, the Titans’ longtime SID, will be retiring, although the official day is set for June 30th.

Timm was hired in August 1985 and oversaw the promotion of one of the most successful NCAA Division III programs since that time. The UW-Oshkosh teams won over 30 national championships during his tenure.

“It was truly an honor to play a role, albeit a small one, in helping make the UW-Oshkosh track and field program special,” Timm said. “I have had an outstanding career in the sports information profession and have been utterly blessed to have had the opportunity to work alongside a fantastic group of administrators, coaches, support staff, student-athletes, community members and alumni over the years. My career has brought me friendships, passion, laughter and opportunities, and memories that will last the rest of my life.”
