Swift played a different kind of ‘catwoman’ in the much-maligned 2019 Broadway adaptation Cats, where she played Bombalurina.

She hasn’t returned to the big screen since then, although she is set to star in an as-yet-untitled project from director David O. Russell.

The plot is being kept under wraps, though Swift is part of a talented ensemble that includes Margot Robbie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Timothy Olyphant, Christian Bale, Zoe Saldana, Rami Malek, Michael Shannon and Robert De Niro.

Swift is coming off a big year in 2021 where she re-recorded two of her previous albums, Fearless and Red.

She re-recorded these albums with plans to re-record her first six albums while at Big Machine Records, after the label sold her masters to Scooter Braun.

Swift was also seen on the big screen on Valentine’s Day 2010 and she voiced Audrey in 2012’s The Lorax.
