Tamar Braxton’s sophomore album “Love & War” features some high -end music. Some of my favorite songs have not been released as independent singles, including “Pieces.” The song was written by Sevyn Streeter, an R&B fellow. He explained why it was difficult for him to give the music to Braxton.
Sevyn Streeter said it was hard to leave Tamar Braxton’s ‘Pieces’
Streeter was seen on the YouTube stream Terrell Grice and play the game of the orchestra. Grice gives his guests a word and gives them 10 seconds to sing a song that has the word in the songs or the title.
During their conversation, Grice asked Streeter if he had a hard time separating a song he had written from giving it to an artist.
“Pieces,” he says, was one of the songs he contributed to Braxton’s album Love & War. “I cried like a baby that season when I wrote that song.”

Select: How Tamar Braxton loved music
“Pieces” shows a woman who refuses to decide on a little love from a man she gave her.
“Pieces” was featured in “Love & War.” Although the album was released in September 2013, no music video for the song was released until 2018 – five years after the album was released. “Pieces” was not released as a single but Braxton played the song as part of his concert lineup. That song is also a favorite.
In the video, Braxton prepares to marry a Greek idea but can’t be shaken to find that her soon -to -be husband is wrong. Before heading down the street, he dropped a woman’s wristband and a condom at their home.
The talented singer and songwriter Tamar Braxton has also written a new hit
“Pieces” wasn’t the only song Streeter wrote for Braxton’s second Grammy -winning album. Braxton’s third single on the album, “All The Way Home,” was co -written by Streeter.
The song was released in August 2013 and peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. There was also a music video featuring Braxton’s husband at the time, Vincent Herbert.

“All The Way Home” celebrates details from a lover’s fight. In the song, Braxton sings, “Running fast down the road and I can’t control my head / Because I’m thinking of you all the way home / There’s a long way to go and I can’t deny / I thought about you all the way home. “
As for the nature of the music, Streeter told ThisIsRNB in 2014 that they talked.
“We’re talking about how you get involved with the person you love, and you get hurt sometimes,” she said. “You leave and you have to clean your head and as you go you start to calm down and finish your car. The only thing to remember is that until the end of the day, you are going with that person, even though there are things you go to, but you love them.
